Appreciation

How small the word "Appreciation"is? It’s just one word in your favor or an expression of gratitude or a pampering note and it makes your day. It gives immense motivation inside to do that task more beautifully and appropriately.

If the same is missing, we lose confidence and gradually the interest fades. Or else, it will be just for oneself and secretly kept safe from others.

As Pallav has given awards and he commented on my post that I got some award, although he awarded me “thanks for being my friend”. But, for me it is acting as a catalyst to write more posts, reading others blog and postimg my views there.
Thanks Pallav for keeping the light inside me enlighted.

Sometimes the work is not judged properly and not even recognized(by a person). But still asked to do the work as a favour(for the same person), will that be done willingly???

Switching to a new house

Moving to a new house is a very tedious task and in a country like UK, it becomes all the more tiresome. I never knew before it happened to me this weekend. I had heard that it’s quite tiring to shift from one house to another. I had to move after I had enjoyed a year in the current house.

My friends started calling me before 15days of moving that I should start packing and cleaning daily. But I thought why to waste time everyday in packing and do it in a single go. So, the last day arrived.

And you won't believe me it hardly took me just 3hrs to pack all the stuff. But after this the reality of shifting comes into picture. The new house is already got packed packages to unpack, at the same time the old house needs to be cleaned spic and spam like a new house.

The agreement of the house states that the house should be left with no stains, no water drops on taps, the kitchen should be cleaned as of new, the shelves, drawers must be cleaned thoroughly, the glass windows should shine, the doors should not have fingermarks, the walls should not have any kind of scratches and marks, the switch boards should be absolutely clean, the toilet, bath-tub, wash basin, the tiles, shower should be well cleaned and disinfected and so on and on... Now, this took my full Sunday working, honestly and dedicatedly from morning 11:00am to 8:30pm landing me to a perfect cleaned house. Then, I realized that it’s good to quit the software job and switch to a cleaners job J.

But, last night I had really bad pain in my right hand and unable to sleep. Only after taking a pain killer (which I really avoid till it becomes very very necessary), applying the pain relief balm could I get some sleep.

Hoping that my letting agent be pleased with the house condition. At the end, I am happy with this present home.

PS: Thanks to all who visited and commented there. Friends like you give motivation to rise up to the next step.

Welcome!!!

This is my first post on my blog "Life like a Coin". I would love to start my journey of writing, reading your comments, sharing each others views. I wanted a place where new and experienced writers could come and share their thoughts, tips, ideas or whatever comes to mind. I entered blogging only to know new things and always there is a lot to learn.

Now, why have I chosen this title for my blog? There are a few points which I can list down:

1. In the book of life every page has two sides: we human beings fill the upper side with our plans, hopes and wishes, but providence writes on the other side, and what it ordains is seldom our goal.

2. After marriage, husband and wife become two sides of a coin; they just can’t face each other, but still they stay together.(it’s just humorous for some and very true for others)

3. The other two sides are ‘good’ and ‘evil’. These sides are always there, in every life and on every coin. They are always back to back but never see eye to eye. They coexist and know of the other’s presence, but can rarely be seen at the same time.

4. Life has two sides with happy moments and besides it on the next is bad or sorrow side.

5. Life can be live any way you wish, but you can only spend it once. -Lillian Dickson

I welcome all comments and hope that in the coming days and weeks I can provide some interesting reading as I grow in the world of blogging.
